As per IL 2010-05, Inuit Community Corporations Chairperson Elections Act,
Notice is hereby given that Sivunivut Inuit Community Corporation will be accepting nominations for the position of Chairperson, for the unexpired term ending September 2018. Nominations will be received between the hours of:
9:00 am – 6:00 pm on Friday February 17th 2017
At the Town Building Council Chambers.

Nomination Form A-1 shall be signed by the proposer and seconder, both of whom shall be present together with the candidate who shall also signify his or her acceptance.

A person Qualified to be nominated as a Candidate for Chairperson must be;
A) A Beneficiary
B) Member of the Corporation of the full age of 19 years
C) Has been a resident of the Community for at least 60 days preceding the date of by-election
D) Is not otherwise disqualified under the Inuit Community Corporations Chairpersons Election Act.

Each Candidate for the position of Chairperson shall at the time of his or her nomination, deposit with the Returning Officer a non refundable sum of twenty five dollars ($25.00).

If required, a By-Election will take place on:
Monday, March 13th, 2017

Polling Hours: 8:00 am – 8:00 pm
